Ponnam Prabhakar

 Ponnam Prabhakar is a seasoned Indian politician currently serving as the Minister for Transport and Backward Classes (BC) Welfare in the Government of Telangana.  He is also the elected Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing the Husnabad constituency.  🏛️ Political Journey Born on May 8, 1967, in Karimnagar, Telangana, Ponnam Prabhakar embarked on his political journey as a student leader.  He served as the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) District Secretary from 1987 to 1991 and later became the State President of NSUI from 1999 to 2002.  His commitment to public service led him to serve as the Youth Congress General Secretary between 2002 and 2003.   In 2009, he was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) from the Karimnagar constituency, becoming the youngest MP from that area.   Although he faced electoral setbacks in subsequent years, his perseverance culminated in a significant victory in the 2023 Assembly ele...
